SmallNote 2.7.0

SmallNote is updated to the version 2.7. Unfortunately, during developing previous version of SmallNote (2.6.2.152) an error was introduced while autoupdate procedure is developed. Due to this error it is impossible to update SmallNote to current version (2.7). We are sorry for this inconvenience and we ask you to use installer to update SmallNote.

What's new in this version: 

Version 2.7.0.163 (August 15, 2011) (attaching files to notes)

• Added. NEW! A new function of attaching files to notes is adding to SmallNote. Files can be edited, history of changes is saved like notes history. This version has no interface to get access to files in history yet, this ability will be added in the nearest version of SmallNote.
• Added. A button to get access to attachments is added to SmallNote toolbar. A popup window appears when user press button, this popup window allows to add, edit or remove attachments.
• Added. SmallNote saves path to installation folder in Windows registry, registry key is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Antoon_Inc company\SmallNote\InstallDir. This key is checked and updated with every SmallNote start.
• Added. "Restore notes" window now shows waiting animation or "Please wait..." label while filtering notes to restore.
• Added. SmallNote recognizes links and opens default browser while user click on this link. Also user can copy link to clipboard if he click right mouse button on this link.
• Added. "About" window: if there is a new version, then an information appears again if user click on a link with new version number. This information shown only once early.
• Added. A fast search filed is added to the history window, search goes by substring in history string.
• Added. An installer is created for SmallNote, installer is based on NSIS (http://nsis.sourceforge.net/).
• Fixed. An error fixed with chinese symbol writing (there is no symbols support).
• Fixed. SmallNote saved notes in national encoding but tried to open notes via Unicode encoding. Notes may not be opened after saving.
• Fixed. A lot of internal changes with notes working: preparing for client-server working type.
• Fixed. An error fixed when notes can't be closed if user press on close button (Win3.1 style).
• Fixed. An error fixed in autoupdate function ("About" window).
• Changed. When user start new version first time, SmallNote moves all notes to %AppData%\SmallNote folder. SmallNote will update folders structure to the newest version during moving all notes. Lately user may change this folder to another one.
• Changed. Now all settings of SmallNote are saved in folder with notes (DATA folder).
• Changed. Path to notes is keeping now in registry, registry key is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Antoon_Inc company\SmallNote\Root
